DTI - Assessing an Innovative idea - grants of up to £12k for SMEs

The Department of Trade & Industry (dti) is offering grants to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in England to enable them to investigate innovative ideas for products, processes or services, as part of the DTI Succeeding through Innovation programme.

The grants are designed to help those companies who might otherwise lack the time, resources or specialist knowledge, to employ a consultant to investigate the feasibility of an innovative idea.

The grant will cover 75% of the consultancy cost, up to a maximum of £12k . Once an idea is deemed to be feasible, further grants of up to £200k could be made available for research and development, to turn the idea into a `marketable reality'.

Wilson Lee & Partners are authorised to assess the eligibility of companies' ideas, act as Mentor to assist them through the application process, assess the viability of an "Innovative Idea" and support specialist mentoring & consultancy services to help take the "Idea" to market and business success.
