The Managerial Assessment of Proficiency (MAP) measures managers’ ability in 12 key competencies, and improves their performance through training which can provide a fast track to professional qualifications.

MAP has been used successfully by over 2,500 managers in the UK and some 70,000 world-wide. This unique system provides:

"Participants gain an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses as managers and receive coaching designed to improve their performance in the areas of their job where they are weakest," said practice principal Norman Wilson.

MAP scores are recognised by The Institute of Management (IMgt.) as proof of prior learning, providing a fast track to qualifications such as >

The £799 plus VAT enrolment fee is payable over seven months and reflects a £600 subsidy due to funding from the European Community Social Fund Objective 3 (ESF) and the East of England Development Agency (EEDA).

The MAP programme is spread over six months and begins with a two-day assessment of the manager’s existing skills. The results determine which three MAP courses the manager should attend. The one-day courses cover topics such as decision-making, delegating, time management, problem solving, and planning and scheduling work.

Participants also benefit from a series of management training videos and at least two visits from a management development mentor.

The re-assessment at the end of the MAP programme provides accreditation of prior learning, which can be used to qualify for entry to the Institute of Management’s Diploma in Management Studies, or management NVQ Level 4 or 5. The funding from the ESF and EEDA also supports this follow-on management development.

We would welcome the opportunity to discuss how MAP can improve individual manager's performance & how this leads to a better business.. This could be one-to-one or by attending one of our regular sampler presentations given to small groups of managers from local businesses.
